What’s New

Refer OneArray to your colleagues and get a 10% discount on your next order. Both you and your colleagues can receive discounts on your next order. Here’s how it works:
1.Refer a new customer to Phalanx Biotech. After the new customer has placed an order, you will receive a 10% discount on your next purchase.
2.New customers will receive a 5% discount on their first purchase when referred by an existing OneArray customer.
Contact us today at 650-320-8669 to take advantage of this new program. (The Referral Program discount can NOT be combined with other discounts. Other restrictions may apply.)
We can help you show off your results. Phalanx Biotech will sponsor your seminar or meeting by supplying coffee and snacks. Call for details.

Pathways or Gene Ontology based analysis? Now it’s easier with OneArray Studio. Phalanx Biotech Group is announcing the release of OneArray Studio, a new analysis package for use with OneArray microarrays. It’s easy-to-use interface and high speed will allow you to make the most of your gene expression data.
OneArray Studio is a complete analysis package that features:
*Customizable Preprocessing: data filtering, normalization, and transformation
*Quality Control: principal component analysis, model-based outlier detection, and correlation-based QC
*Statistical Inference Tests: ANOVA, general linear model, and group tests
*Pattern Recognition: hierarchical clustering, NMF clustering, and neighbors
*Pathway Analysis: Gene Ontology and DAVID
*Link to Web for Every Probe: UCSC Web Browser, GO, Google Scholar, Entrez, NCBI
*Graph and Table Generation: output publication-quality graphs and tables to image, txt, *.ppt, or *.xls with a single click
**LOW Price: only $695 for a 1-year academic subscription; training packages also available

OneArray Express just got even better: Now each array is only $59. We are happy to announce that OneArray prices have been reduced:

OneArray Express Program Details:
We work with your laboratory or core facility to store 100 mouse arrays and 100 human arrays on your site. When users want to purchase 10 or more microarrays for service or their own use, they simply contact Phalanx Biotech directly with purchase verification, and within an hour we will send confirmation to the OneArray Express Partner to use or release the arrays.
With a minimum order of 10 arrays, bulk pricing of $59 per array is applied, a $200 savings and no additional shipping costs. Most importantly, you and your colleagues get the arrays immediately when you need them. We have designed this program to provide OneArray at the lowest cost and most convenience.
For more information on how to become a OneArray Express Partner, please contact Phalanx Biotech at 650-320-8669.

Human and Mouse Whole Genome OneArray probe annotation update and UCSC Genome Browser support. The probe annotation for HOA and MOA has been updated in keeping with the most recent Ensemble update. Please visit our annotation downloads  site to obtain the most recent probe information. In addition, we are now providing additional annotation to create a custom track on the UCSC Genome Browser. Instructions on how to use this new tool are available in the annotation README file on our downloads page and are described in the Ask Spot section below.

QC your hybridizations: SimpleMeasure 2 is available for download. We have just finished a revision of our easy to use SimpleMeasure applet that extracts and analyzes experimental control data for Human or Mouse OneArray. New features include:

*Batch processing
*An enhanced user interface
*Customizable graphics
*Pdf printing capability
*Feature filtering for experimental probe data
*Single and dual-color support
*Like always, its fast and its free

Ask Spot:

In my experience with other microarrays, no pre-hybridization was necessary; do I really need to do the pre-hybridization with OneArray?
Spot says:  It is vital that the pre-hybridization protocol is carefully followed to prepare OneArray™ microarrays for hybridization. See the latest version of the OneArray User Guide on the Support page of our website for detailed instructions. Failure to properly complete the pre-hybridization protocol may cause high background signal intensity and result in lower quality data.

How do I create a custom track using the UCSC Genome Browser?
The UCSC Genome Browser can display Phalanx probes as a custom track using the BED file included with our most recent annotation release:
1. Open the "Add Custom Tracks" page in your web browser:
http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgCustom
2. Copy-and-paste the following URL: ftp://ftp.phalanxbiotech.com/pub/annotations/hoa/current/phalanx_hoa_1.4.bed.gz into the text box labeled "Paste URLs or data".
3. Click "Submit", and then on the "Manage Custom Tracks" page, click on the "go to genome browser" button. By default you will be returned to the Genome Browser home page, displaying Phalanx probe sequences on chromosome 1 with all other tracks hidden.

Where can I find NCBI annotation for Human and Mouse OneArray?
Spot says: Currently, this annotation is available only by request. Please send me an email and I can provide it for you.
