Probe Set Content

  • The Rice OneArray probe set is a combination of the Rice Genome Annotation Project (RGAP) version 6.1 and Beijing Genomics Institute (BGI) version 2008 databases.

  • Long oligonucleotide probes (~60-mers) were engineered using specific lengths to match melting temperatures for superior hybridization performance.

  • Each microarray contains 824 performance monitoring control probes for hybridization, sample quality, and labeling reactions. Also included are the ArrayControl™ Sense Oligo Spots by Ambion.

  • Downloadable gene lists, probe sequences, and whole genome GAL files. << More>>

Rice OneArray® Performance

Excellent Reproduciblity

Table 2 (right) displays results obtained using five Rice OneArray DNA Microarrays. 2.5 ug of Rice Root Reference total RNA was amplified using an Amino Allyl MessageAmp™ Kit (Ambion).

For hybridization, 10 ug of aRNA was labeled with Cyanine 5 fluorescent, and scanned with an Axon scanner*.

High qPCR Correlation

To assess OneArray performance, rice microarray data was validated by qPCR on Rice Root Reference and Rice Shoot Reference RNA samples. 66 genes were randomly selected from the linear detection range of the microarray dataset and compared to qPCR results. An excellent correlation to qPCR (R = 0.978) was demonstrated, offering strong assurance of high-fidelity in your microarray studies.
