Extraction Service

Excellent RNA quality is essential to all genomic applications. Our technicians have expertise in multiple RNA isolation techniques suitable for cells, blood and tissue sources. We select appropriate purification methods and use proven reagents to acccommodate your sample type and match your desired downstream applications.

To maximize RNA quality and yield, special protocols incorporating homogenization, proteinase K treatment, and/or DNase digestion are performed on an as-needed basis at no extra charge.


RNA Quality Control

Our extraction services include full QC reports, indicating RNA concentration and purity via NanoDrop absorbance measurements, and RNA integrity via Agilent Bioanalzyer assessment.

Quality Guidelines

For customers looking to pursue microarray profiling, we recommend the following specifications:

  • RIN > 6 for gene expression
  • RIN > 6 for microRNA expression
  • 260/280 > 1.8 and 260/230 > 1.8
