Microarray Laboratory Setup Package
The speed at which data is expected to be available is constantly increasing. In order to match the needs of our customers’ short turnaround times, Phalanx Biotech Group has been working to put together a “Microarray Laboratory Setup Package” for customers who want to run and analyze microarrays themselves – hence cutting down on sample delivery time and shortening the time it takes to obtain microarray results.
With the support of our R&D and laboratory department, Phalanx’s technical support team was formed for the purposes of supporting distributors and clients who are interested in establishing their own Phalanx OneArray® microarray laboratory. With Phalanx’s technical support team, a shipment containing mRNA and miRNA expression profiling microarrays, standard samples, and all the reagents needed to run the microarrays are sent to the client. Clear instructions in the format of user manuals (complete with pictures) are also provided, that walk through the microarray laboratory process step by step. Lastly, a list of laboratory instruments and recommended brands are provided to the customer in order to ensure that the necessary instrumentation has been stocked for the microarray laboratory.
Different microarray scanners will use different settings to optimize the results of the scanned microarray images – once the entire microarray laboratory setup package is received, Phalanx’s technical support team will provide suggested starting settings for the first trial runs. The results of the trial runs will allow Phalanx’s team to make tweaks and suggestions to further optimize the microarray runs until the microarray images and data are up to par with the Microarray Quality Control (MAQC) standards.
First OneArray® Microarray Lab Set Up in Turkey
We’re proud to announce that our first OneArray® microarray laboratory outside of Phalanx’s headquarters has just finished its trial run on the sample microarrays using the standard samples and reagents bundle. Genmar Laboratories, a genomic laboratory service provider located in Turkey, has just finished their first successful run of microarrays and yielded high-quality results. With the experience of Genmar’s application specialists team and support of Phalanx’s technical support team, Genmar is now well capable of providing Phalanx’s OneArray® microarray service directly in their own lab.
Be sure to stick around for more exciting news regarding the release of Phalanx’s own microarray data extraction and analysis software in early 2017, and also Phalanx’s own microarray scanner, which will be widely accessible in terms of price and easily implemented into both research and clinical settings!
